Doug Mena knew that he could bring his ten years of valuable experience as a defense attorney to help injured people recover from the major insurance companies that he once represented.  Over the last decade, he has seen the tricks that big companies use to avoid responsibility. Looking at each case, he knows what a defense lawyer sees and will build a case with those pitfalls in mind.

Doug Mena began his career defending corporations as a trial lawyer.  As a litigator for companies, he honed his skills in the courtroom at an early age, obtaining favorable verdicts as lead counsel and second chair within his first year of practice.  He became so proficient that he quickly became the youngest partner of a national defense firm.  But after eight years defending corporations, Doug was called to the other side of the bar.  Rather than defending corporations and their employees who had clearly breached their duties, he wanted to use his skills to help the everyday individuals who are so often underrepresented.

Doug’s practice includes commercial litigation matters, relating to trucking and transportation liability, products liability, dram shop liability, and premises liability as well as construction defects, toxic tort, business litigation, first-party litigation, and general negligence. Additionally, he also has experience in appellate practice at both the state and federal levels.

His fast-tracked career was recognized early and often by the plethora of acknowledgements, both locally and nationwide:
